The Reaching Home Program offered by Métis Capital Housing Corporation provides essential support for Métis families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Homelessness affects many communities and families throughout the world, impacting young, old, and everyone in between. In 2016, an estimated 129,000 people in Canada experienced homelessness and sought refuge at emergency shelters. Homelessness does not only mean living on the street – it can also mean couch surfing or even facing an eviction notice. Our community is affected by homelessness, and we are committed to reducing it by offering immediate interventions and long-term solutions. The Reaching Home Program provides housing services, financial support, and access to essential resources dedicated to helping Métis Albertans achieve stable and secure housing. Read below to see if you are eligible and to learn how to apply.
